Editorial policy
Clever Racing Journal aims to make racing easier to understand without making claims beyond what our material supports. We value clear explanations, careful distinctions between disciplines and open handling of mistakes or commercial relationships.
Accuracy and clarity
We check terminology and factual statements against reliable reference material appropriate to the topic. Racing terms and formats can vary between disciplines, so we identify the context when it matters and avoid presenting one usage as universal. We distinguish explanation from opinion and make uncertainty clear rather than filling gaps with confident guesses.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. A partner cannot purchase an editorial conclusion or dictate independent coverage. Where a collaboration has shaped a piece, we make that relationship clear to readers.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and include the page or wording and what you believe needs correcting. We review correction requests, amend material when warranted and make significant changes clear in the affected article. We do not promise that every disagreement will result in an edit.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements, partner links and other material created through a commercial collaboration are labelled so readers can recognise them. Such labels do not imply editorial endorsement. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that is the case, we identify them as AI-generated and do not present them as documentary photographs.
Every race has more than one story.
We look beyond the result to the formats, course features and decisions that make each contest distinct.
